Flashback Media Converting is a professional lab that exists since 2009. We specialize in video converting, we're not a photo shop or a grocery shop.. converting media is our only concern and as such we're doing it at the highest quality. Also, here, at Flashback Media Converting we convert all kinds of media. We convert video cassettes to DVDs or computer files we convert 8mm films and 16mm reels we do audio cassettes conversion and Audio reels we scan slides, still photos and negatives the conversion is being done with the most advanced devices and in the highest quality.

What is so special about your technology?

Most places use DVD recorders.. They record the video in real-time, imagine it, it's like the DVD is chasing the tail of the cassette! that's why you get problems such as stripes, visual jumps and sound drops. That's before we talk about compressing many hours of cassettes on one single DVD... At Flashback Media Converting, the conversion is being done by digitizing the cassettes into the computer in a unique process. 1. every video cassette is being digitized using an analog-to-digital converter devices and FireWire cables. 2. the video cassette which is now a digital computer file is being edited: cutting dead parts, ext 3. encoding and exporting 4. the computer file is being copied to an external hard drive or is being burn on a DVD at the slowest speed so you will get the best quality. We won't burn on one DVD more than 2 hours of video and that again so you'll get our well knowen quality.

what is the difference between DVD and computer files?

DVD you can watch on the computer or in a DVD player and you can duplicate them but you can't save DVD on the computer and you can't edit a movie on a DVD also DVD is being damaged easily, every scratch can ruin it. In computer file you can watch on the computer and on new televisions with a USB port. you can back up the computer files easily, edit them and use them in presentations, family movies and more. You can also upload to them to the internet. we're, in flashback, definitely recommend to get your video cassettes and the rest of the media as computer files on an external hard drive.

I have my own external hard drive can I copy the files into it?

Of course. you can give us your external a hard drive or if you don't have one, you can buy from us external hard drive of the famous brands.

I want to convert video cassettes and scan my slides can I get everything on the same external hard drive?

Sure! one of the benefits in using our services is that we are a one stop for all of your media conversions. we convert all media, that's why, if you have 5 video cassettes, 8mm reel and 1000 negatives you can convert everything by us and get all the materials organized in the highest quality on the same hard drive.
